O simplă analiză de sânge făcută din proprie inițiativă poate, uneori, mai rău să încurce decât să elucideze starea de rău pe care o acuză o persoană care nu are noțiuni de medicină. De aceea, medicii buni fac mai întâi o anamneză completă, apoi un examen clinic și, pe baza acestora, recomandă anumite analize de sânge și investigații, pentru a stabili diagnosticul corect. Am vrut să aflăm cum procedează „Doctorii House“ ai zilelor noastre pentru a diagnostica boli dificile, rare sau pentru a pune un diagnostic corect, atunci când simptomele sunt complexe. Pentru aceasta, am discutat cu doi medici MedLife – dr. Alina Păcurari, medic primar medicină internă, Hyperclinica Medlife Timișoara, și dr. Elena Kosa, medic primar medicină de laborator și șeful Laboratorului MedLife Timișoara. În materialul următor, aflăm cât de importante sunt anamneza și discuția cu medicul despre istoricul medical, dar și care e rolul analizelor, dar și al altor investigații paraclinice, în stabilirea unui diagnostic corect și a unui tratament adecvat.
